We’re thrilled to share some news: after years and years of deliberating and evaluating whether to chase down a dream, the law firm of Fox & Ziepfel, LLC is officially open! Even though we technically “soft-launched” at the start of this year, we wanted to take a little time to work through the usual early-stage growing pains before making the public announcements.
Several months in, we’re thrilled to share that Fox & Ziepfel’s launch has exceeded even our most ambitious expectations. So, a special thank you goes out to the many long-tenured clients who’ve partnered with us for more than a decade. Regardless of previous transitions, you not only never blinked but your encouragement laid the foundation for this new chapter.

Our vision for Fox & Ziepfel is straightforward:
- We’re committed to providing lower-volume, higher-attention legal services. “Less clutter, more clever” wasn’t a slogan we workshopped with consultants — it reflects our lived experience practicing law in institutional environments without having much editorial control over their values and direction. We founded Fox & Ziepfel to change that. We want to be great lawyers first and foremost, measured by the quality of our counsel, not the size of our platform. We’ll never compromise on delivering excellent work product that is clear, strategic, and grounded in our clients’ best interests.
- We intend to be extremely selective about the types of attorneys we allow onto our platform. That said, we’ll always display the “Help Wanted” sign to sophisticated practitioners who provide counsel with thoughtfulness and greater purpose.
- We want to practice law more beautifully — fewer files, deeper focus, more alignment. We love what we do and the difference we get to make for clients and communities. While we’re proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish for our clients so far, we’re just getting started…
When your last names are, quite literally, the brand, starting something new feels especially risky. But there’s also risk in ignoring instincts about what clients/communities truly need, and choosing to slot in somewhere when you’re uniquely equipped to lead. We intend to lead and lead well.
